INITIAL POSTING – Review the speeches available on www.americanrhetoric.com and choose one made in a real life to be the subject of your first post (i.e. no fictional characters from movies, TV shows, etc.) Once you have chosen a speech, evaluate the speaker and analyze their speech based on the 6 primary elements of an effective public speech (i.e. prespeech planning, organization, language, rehearsal, delivery, and responding to questions). Focus on the nature of language when describing how some of these key factors from Chapter 9 are present in the speech. Be sure to provide some context for the speech (i.e. Why was it given? What was the speech maker trying to achieve?) please see book attached for chapter.
In your initial posting, don’t forget to include references to your readings in the text citing page numbers as it relates to your examples (minimum 250 words).
