Read 5-7 poems by langston hughes that has a similar theme or time frame so as to bring unity to the work. first paragraph should contain a short summary of the author’s best known works and awards but not much detail about his/her life. However, if a life event effected their work, you might want to include that. Close to the end of the first paragraph, you will add your thesis sentences. should have 3 critics that you take both direct quotes and paraphrase. approximately 1000 to 1500 words and an additional page for the citations is suggested.
