Please explain why a hospitalized patient may require more protein than a healthy individual? Include calculations for your own protein requirements using the formula from the Three-Day Dietary Analysis/Assessment Project and comment on your findings. If you are varying from the below formula, state why you require additional protein.
Weight in lb divided by 2.2 = WT in KG
Wt in KG X 0.8 = Protein requirements for a healthy adult.
