Paper work for a debate about the 1932 election between President Herbert Hoover and Franklin D. Roosevelt. You will need to do some reading on the election. These are of the points you need to address:
– One Candidate was for keeping government action on the depression to a minimum, the other for more robust government action. How is this 1932 battle reflected in todays politics?
– How successful would the free market policies of Hoover been if he had been re-elected ?
– How successful were FDRs pro-active New Deal Policies?
– How do we decide what/how much government regulation is appropriate?
